Statement
I make a particular category of art
which is Mithila painting. In my artworks, I have always tried to represent two
kind of things. First, incidents from sacred books like Ramayana, Mahabharata
etc. and also Krishna Leela. Second, Mithila traditions and culture. My aim
behind making such artworks is reminding people of the greatness of the god and
goddess in the great Hindu religion. I also don’t want them to forget any of
the good Mithila culture and traditions that are being practiced from centuries
as western culture is becoming more popular these days among youths and has
overshadowed the old culture. I don’t want upcoming generation to completely
forget the great old tradition and culture but they are the ones which makes us
distinct in the world. I have also tried to share the knowledge related to
Mithila paintings to the new generation.
