Statements of Artist Anuradha Thapa
"From my early childhood I have had a keen interest in art
and that is where I sought my future. Although my parents wanted to me to
pursue a different field, I decided to study Art.
Art is a mirror that reflects time. Artists can express their
emotions and perspectives through their art.
I am not only interested in painting but sculpting as well and
have been working in both areas simultaneously.I faced many challenges in my 40
years of working in this sector but I braved all adversities and kept moving
forward. I feel it is always difficult for a woman to progress no matter what
field she is in.
Other than art, I am deeply inclined towards nature and hence
love gardening. I am also involved with various social service
organizations. "
