Statement of Artist Arjun Neupane
Nature has always been my inspiration but I
choose to interpret it differently as a visual language. I have been experimenting through
abstraction and using different techniques and mediums, there are new things to discover all the time.
My work is informed by color and forms found in nature, an excitement about cultural & socio-political issues and
influenced by abstract expressionist style. I allow myself to play in my studio
trusting my intuition and even my materials which I consider a spiritual
practice that is highly emotional and
personal. The process is completely organic, intuitive and
spontaneous. It speaks of places or external world unseen but at the same
time comforting and familiar like memories I reflect my subconscious
but can't quite recall all the details of the experience. I enjoy
creating for my satisfaction as well.
